So what’s this all about?
Twelve years and three apartments ago I found myself in need of a bedding upgrade. Browsing a home store on Madison Ave. I came across an unexpected set of navy-blue sheets adorned with a whimsical and irregular star pattern. Despite the theme the Navy gave the sheets an adult feel and the subtle texture of the pattern brought them to life in a way I’d not seen before. Charmed by the set I happily brought them home and took instant delight in how they added both character and warmth to my once white bed. Month after month it brought me such joy whenever those sheets came up in rotation. They always made my day as so often only the little things can.
Like most good things, my printed bed sheets one day came to end. After a nice long run, countless laundry cycles, and too many good night’s sleep to count the sheets became threadbare and had to be retired. While sad to say goodbye I looked forward to finding my next signature print and was sure I’d easily discover plenty to choose from. WRONG. The original manufacturer had discontinued the design long ago and anything comparable from other brands remained elusive. Any search for printed bed sheets, online or IRL, lead only to florals and children’s themes. With absolutely nothing against either, these were not a fit. While initially discouraged I quickly became excited by the opportunity to fill the void. My lifelong entrepreneurial dreams now had focus and I got right down to work with the goal of developing my own line of printed bed linens. I’d always enjoyed mixing my star pattern in with other designs from the linen closet and set out to create a line that could mix and match as easily as they could stand alone.
Years of gathering fabric samples, color swatches and pattern options followed and at long last a collection was born in the Spring of 2025.
